A Message from Melissa Stadler, LMSW
Parenting isn’t easy. It can be a struggle to balance moments of incredible joy with the times we feel exhausted, defeated and uncertain. We want to create peaceful, respectful, and nurturing relationships with our kids, but we don’t always have the resources or support. It’s understandable to feel lost without having someone to validate our challenges and celebrate our progress.
That’s where I come in: I offer you a space to experience empathy and respect while coming together in honesty about what you’re going through. This is the basis of The Gentle Parenting Institute. We help parents build stronger bonds and more mutually respectful relationships with their children. Using positive discipline techniques, it is possible to minimize power struggles and reduce family conflict. I am here to listen, to support you, to guide you without judgment, and to help you learn how to stay in alignment with your values while parenting. I’ll use a variety of therapeutic models tailored to you in order to assess your needs and help you reach your goals.
It’s okay to put yourself back on your list of priorities. The weight we all experience as caregivers of children is easier to bear when shared openly and met with the same warmth and understanding that we adults need to show ourselves and our children alike. Parents need support, compassion and grace. How can I help?
