Looking for an all-natural deodorant recipe? I use (and love) this one! It’s free of aluminum, parabens, and fragrance. It’s easy to make, and the recipe is pretty flexible! This means you can make it how YOU like it: with your favorite scents, unscented, with baking soda or without.
All-Natural Citrus Deodorant
- 2oz glass jar
- ¼ cup organic coconut oil
- 2 tbsp. baking soda
- approximately 10-15 drops Citrus Fresh Essential Oil (want to order? Go here!)
Directions: mix all ingredients together and put in jar. If stored appropriately (not in extreme heat/direct sunlight), this will last for a very long time. Coconut oil will melt at just 76 degrees and this is ok! If you don’t like applying it when it’s melted (it can be a little messy), just keep your jar in the refrigerator.
To Use: scoop a little out (you don’t need much!) with your fingers and rub in under your arms.
*If your skin is sensitive to baking soda, this can be reduced or left out altogether. Baking soda acts as an antiperspirant, so it’s not necessarily needed for some folks.
*Other favored essential oils can be used in place of the Citrus Fresh Blend! Try these (you can pair them together to create the scent you want, too!):
Don’t feel like making your own, but still want a great deodorant without the harmful chemicals? My sister uses and loves this one!
